Super Chunky, Super Quick Scarf – January 15
This scarf is super simple to knit and will keep you warm and cosy through the winter. Using three strands of yarn together you can create a myriad of beautiful effects.
For this scarf I used the Rico Essentials Aran range which is a soft 100% Merino wool.
You will need:
1 ball each of your chosen three colours, plus an extra ball in the colour you wish to use for the tassles.
A piece of card 11cm (4 inches) wide for making the tassles.
Yarn darning needles to weave in the ends.
Holding all three strands together and using your 10mm needles cast on 12 stitches.
Row 1: *K1, yarn over, repeat from * to end of the row, K1.
Row 2: *K1, drop the yarn over from the previous row off the left hand needle, repeat from * to the end, K1
Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until the scarf is the desired length, finishing on a row 1.
Cast off loosley.
To make the tassles, wrap the yarn around your piece of card 10 times, slide them off, cut them in half and loop through the cast on and cast off edges of your scarf.
Weave in all the ends and then you are done!
